Nature gave man sleep so that we could have a chance to rest and recover, but why did it also give us dreams? Our ancestors believed that the images, objects and phenomena dreamed during sleep decipher the past and predict the future not only of an individual, but of the entire world. Interpretation of dreams is not an easy task: the world that opens up in dreams is very ephemeral and bears little resemblance to the reality that surrounds us. Therefore, for many centuries, the interpretation and decoding of dreams has been carried out by people who have a special gift for this and have undergone special training. For example, more than four thousand years ago in Ancient Egypt, priests were engaged in decoding and interpreting dreams, in Arab countries, dream interpretation was the privilege and duty of court sages, in India, dreams were interpreted by sages - rishis, and all rulers of ancient China without exception had fortune tellers who deciphered their dreams.
